18.(1) No user may use or permit the use of a lifting machine or hand- powered lifting device unless – (a) it has been designed and con- structed in accordance with a generally accepted technical standard;

C.G Ton Lifting Consultants offers Engineering drawings whereby any newly manufactured Over- head cranes, Jib cranes, Monorails, Lifting structures, or specialized lifting Equipment that is pur- pose built is drawn up to comply with South African Legislation.

Existing lifting Equipment or Apparel that may be in your plant without a Engineering Drawing can be assessed to determine the type of steel used, thickness and strength loading capacity thereof, as well as welding or assembly parts inspected, and based on all the information our Draughting de- partment can present you with an engineering drawing.

A simulation can be run to virtually mimic the “load” on the CAD drawing and a detailed report can be presented.
